{"id":539,"date":"2017-10-03T14:31:29","date_gmt":"2017-10-03T12:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bodemplant.nl\/?p=539"},"modified":"2017-12-07T10:57:56","modified_gmt":"2017-12-07T09:57:56","slug":"effecten-embokashi-onderzocht","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bodemplant.nl\/en\/2017\/10\/03\/effecten-embokashi-onderzocht\/","title":{"rendered":"Effects of EM\/Bokashi evaluated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2008 the department of Biological Farming Systems of Wageningen University studied the effects of EM (&#8220;effective microorganisms&#8221;; see <a href=\"http:\/\/library.wur.nl\/WebQuery\/wurpubs\/364469\">here<\/a> (in Dutch)). The most important results have now been published in the scientific journal <em>Crop Protection<\/em>. The disease suppressive activity of EM, combined or not with Bokashi, was studied in various soils against <em>Pythium ultimum<\/em> in cucumber <em>Rhizoctonia solani<\/em> in carrot. In general, there was no consistent disease suppressive activity. Also no effects were found in diversity of the bacterial communities.
